El Ayuntamiento incorpora a los primeros 15 jóvenes menores de 30 años de los más de 100 contratados con fondos europeos

Benidorm City Council has today incorporated the first 15 young people of the more than 100 under 30 who will be hired through two grants from European funds and will serve in various municipal departments for a year. The mayor, Toni Pérez, recalled that these contracts are part of the 'Avalem Joves +' plan of the Genearlitat, action co-financed by the European Union through the Operational Program of the European Social Fund (ESF) of the Valencian Community 2014-2020 . A plan that is divided into two programs of grants for the hiring of qualified and unskilled youth, called EMCUJU and EMPUJU.

In total, on Tuesday, a total of 15 young people attached to the EMCUJU program have started their activity, with which a total of 49 people with a degree in Vocational Training, Diploma, Degree or Bachelor's Degree will be hired under the internship scheme. These first young people are assigned to the departments of Social Welfare, European Funds, Human Resources, Equality, Events, Intervention, Treasury, Computing and Secretariat. The remaining 34 workers are expected to join their posts next week.

For the EMCUJU the City has received a grant of 819,211.56 euros; and 1,099,287.84 euros for the EMPUJU, which will also be contracted for another 12 months with around 70 other young people who will join at the end of the month and who will be in charge of cleaning the natural environment or monitoring the facilities, among others. The City Council, meanwhile, will have to provide in two years a total of 152,292.56 euros to co-finance the contracts for work or service of the latter.

The mayor has stressed "the tenacious work" made from the Department of Employment directed by María Jesús Pinto to "first, achieve these very important subsidies; and once achieved, work hand in hand with the Personnel department to detect which professional opportunities we can offer our young people from the City Council and based on them draw the job profiles that have been incorporated into the programs.
