The City Council extends until April 26 the deadline to request the ‘Parenthesis Aid’
Benidorm City Council has extended until April 26 the deadline to request the ‘Parenthesis Aid’, aimed at self-employed workers and companies with up to 10 workers from various sectors affected by the pandemic and which have been set by the Generalitat Valenciana. The Councilor for Employment and Local Development, Mónica Gómez, explained that with this extension of the term "it is intended to facilitate the granting of more applications that meet the conditions."
Specifically, the proposal approved today by the Local Government Board (JGL) that modifies the bases that regulate these grants "extending the deadline for submitting applications from March 24 to April 26, both inclusive."
In this way, “we open the door to receive new applications from those professionals or companies that did not participate in the call at the time; and we also proceed to review the requests denied in the previous remittances in case any of the files had changed their situation ”.
As in the previous period, the presentation of the applications will be done online and with electronic signature through the web of the City Council (https://sede.benidorm.org) and the bases in which the Requirements and documentation to be provided can be consulted on the municipal website: www.benidorm.org.
The coincillor has stressed that "the will of this City Council is to promote economic injection to the productive fabric of Benidorm and therefore we intend to give the best facilities to the self-employed and businessmen of the city to attend this call and have access to these 'Parenthesis Aid'. Some aids, she recalled, that include benefits of 2,000 euros for each self-employed person or microenterprise that meets the requirements established in the bases, with improvement sections of 200 euros per employee affiliated with Social Security since last December 31, 2020 .
According to the figures transferred by the councillor, to date "three remittances of‘ Paréntesis Aid have been solved, reaching 95% of the requests received and an amount of 1,705,912.28 euros. " Gómez has reported that "the first two remittances have already been paid and the third will be paid throughout this week."
The financial endowment of the 'Parenthesis Aid' in Benidorm is around 5.2 million euros, of which the City Council contributes about 790,000, "being the fifth city in the Valencian Community with the largest endowment, given the volume of activities and establishments included within the sectors indicated by the Generalitat ”, Gómez pointed out.
