Visit Benidorm Foundation has participated this weekend and for the fourth consecutive year in the active tourism fair "Fiets en Wandelbeurs" in Ghent, with the aim of continuing to promote active tourism in the Benelux and the Flanders region.
This is a fair purely aimed at the final public and has been a great opportunity to continue strengthening active tourism and publicize the "most unknown" Benidorm. Many of the attendees have been pleasantly surprised to see the enormous possibilities that the city has for practicing outdoor sports all year.
In the same way and thanks to Benidorm's constant commitment to new technologies, during the fair, Visit Benidorm has been able to show the official accounts of Wikiloc and Strava to the Belgian public, both widely used in Belgium and which have had great acceptance among the visitors.
Events that have taken place in the region such as Costa Blanca Bike Race, La Volta a la Marina, La Volta a la CV, or even the stages of La Vuelta in 2016 or 2019, among others put in value the offer for cyclists in Benidorm and allow In addition, everything that the capital of the Costa Blanca offers to the active tourist is communicated, all accompanied by a first-class and specific accommodation offer for this segment, such as the popular Bikefriendly hotels.
The Natural Park of Sierra Helada has been another of the great protagonists because the ignorance of this area of special interest and high ecological value, adds the possibility of traveling it by doing several unique hiking trails in the Valencian Community.
The objective in this fair is to position Benidorm in the mind of the hiking cycling tourist, carrying out coverage of the destination and its offer.
