Benidorm plenary session will vote on Monday to declare the bidding procedure for the bus station contract void
The plenary session of Benidorm will vote this coming Monday, February 27, to declare the bidding procedure for the new contract for the bus station void, after the term ended yesterday without any bids being received for any of the lots tendered.
In this way, and following the procedure established by law, the mayor, Toni Pérez, will raise a proposal to "declare the tender void." Subsequently, this announcement will be published in the Official Journal of the European Union (DOUE) and on the Public Sector contracting platform.
In response to the resolution and liquidation agreement of the previous contract signed by Benidorm City Council and the company Estación de Autobuses de Benidorm SL, and according to the reports of the municipal technicians, the local administration must now "initiate negotiated contracting procedure without publicity", for which the pertinent specifications must be drawn up.
The contract for the management and operation of the bus station that has been deserted was put out to tender for a price of 24,516,647.32 euros. This amount covers the work carried out and is not amortized, and for 26 years, 10 months, and 8 days. The bidding was done in batches. The first includes the terminal, the commercial area of the dock, and the outdoor car park; while the second refers to the shopping center, the hotel, and the underground car park.
