At 12 noon, at Plaza de Sus Majestades los Reyes de España, from the balcony of the Town Hall and with the official flags at half-staff, together with a representation of the Local Police and the health personnel who are so efficiently and devotedly developing their work on the front line of action, the mayor Toni Pérez has observed the three minutes of silence, thus expressing the feelings and condolences of citizens in Benidorm who have followed this moment of emotion from their windows and balconies, after which they have burst into applause in memory of all the victims.
Thus, Benidorm has joined this initiative and will schedule, when the health incidence passes, its act in memory of those killed by Covid19. Today, as Mayor Toni Pérez highlighted, "there have been three heartfelt minutes of silence to remember the victims of this cruel pandemic and of solidarity with their families." The flags at half-staff, said the mayor, "express our respect for victims and families."
Already at street level, the mayor spoke for a few minutes with the local health and police officers who attended the tribute to the victims, testifying to them "the appreciation of Benidorm to those who care for us."
On the other hand, at Benidorm Local Police Headquarters, at 12 noon the mandatory three minutes of silence have been observed, in formation, on this day of mourning to which the population of Benidorm has joined from their homes .
