This new point, subsidized by IVACE, is located on Doctor Severo Ochoa avenue and positions the city even more in the network of national fast charging stations.
Benidorm installs a new municipal recharging point for electric vehicles and already adds 10
Benidorm City Council has added a new municipal recharging point for electric vehicles, which brings the number of stations of this type in the city to 10, as reported today by the Councilor for Public Space and Mobility, José Ramón González de Zárate. The councillor stressed that "the implementation of this type of point favors electric mobility in the municipality", which "is thus configured as a reference destination within the network of fast charging stations for electric vehicles on the main highways and roads in Spain".
De Zárate explained that "for the installation of this new charging point, located on Doctor Severo Ochoa Avenue in front of Levante Club Hotel, Benidorm City Council obtained a grant of 27,554.80 euros from the Valencian Institute of Business Competitiveness (IVACE) , which has been supplemented by a municipal contribution of 12,688.87 euros”.
Like the vast majority of municipal stations, the one on Doctor Severo Ochoa avenue is a fast recharging point of approximately 50 kW, "thus expanding the municipal infrastructure with elements that allow reducing recharging times and advancing in sustainability, one of the the five axes on which the Master Plan for the Smart Tourist Destination (DTI) revolves”.
The rest of the recharging points for electric vehicles in the municipal network are located in l'Aigüera -next to the Town Hall-, Jaime I, Alfonso Puchades, Mediterráneo, Juan Fuster Zaragoza, Villajoyosa and República Argentina; and in Benissa and Tomás Ortuño streets.
