Thousands of people participate in a colorful parade organized by the Clubs Association
Benidorm enjoys a massive and participatory adult Carnival
The parade set off shortly after 9:30 p.m. from Venus Street and toured the city centre to the Town Hall Square. There, the mayor, Toni Pérez; the councillor for Fiestas, Mariló Cebreros; the local government team; and the regional deputy, José Ramón González de Zárate, watched the parade from the official stand, dressed as characters from the Star Wars film saga. They were joined by the queens of the 2026 Patron Saint Festivals, Laura Ivars and Carmen Guillem, their courts of honour, and the presidents of the FMP Commission and the Verge del Sofratge Association of Clubs, Ramón Cano and Diego Carrasco.
The queen of the Patron Saint Festivals and her court of honour led the parade, followed by the Commission members. Next came the participants in the individual competition, and finally, the groups of friends and clubs registered for the adult competition. Nearly seventy entries, brimming with originality and showcasing meticulous craftsmanship.
Fantasy characters, mythological figures, period costumes, animals, film references, elements of nature, and handcrafted creations filled the route with colour, then gave way to the party organised by the Clubs Association, which lasted well into the night.
