Benidorm celebrates two days 'For a happy childhood' in the Assembly hall of the City Hall

The mayor of Benidorm, Toni Pérez, has opened this afternoon the conferences for the defense of children and adolescents called 'For a happy childhood' and that will last until tomorrow organized by the Sweetie Association with the collaboration of the Department of Education.

A total of 8 talks will be discussed around the awareness and general training on child abuse, the development and implementation of prevention programs and support for victims.

The judge of the criminal court number 2 of Valencia, D. Enrique Ortolá Icardo was in charge of opening the presentations talking about the 'legislative framework of child abuse'. After that, there was a communications table by Yohara Quílez, a child awareness and policy technician at Save The Children, María Pérez, a doctor in psychology and Enrique Pérez, a social educator. The theme revolved around child abuse, child sexuality and secondary victimization.

For tomorrow, three new talks are planned in which good treatment and positive parenting strategies, abuse between peers and the school's role in child protection will be discussed.
