Benidorm commemorates the Day of the Lletres Valencianes with an uninterrupted reading of 'Tirant lo Blanch'
For the second consecutive year, Benidorm commemorates next Tuesday, November 20, the Day of the Lletres Valencianes with an uninterrupted reading in the gardens of l'Hort de Colón of the work 'Tirant lo Blanch'. The councilor of Historical Heritage and Culture, Ana Pellicer, recalled that this anniversary is celebrated just coinciding with the anniversary of the first edition in 1490 of this work by Joanot Martorell, considered a reference of the genre of Cavalry.
Pellicer explained that "the act will start at 10.00 am", and "both the mayor, Toni Pérez, as well as the companions of the corporation will share throughout the morning this reading of 'Tirant lo Blanch' with the 6th grade students of the Primary school Nuestra Señora de los Dolores and any neighbor who wants to come to give continuity to this recitation.
