The City Council already moved this proposal five years ago, which takes up the direct link with l’Alfàs and improves the mobility of La Huerta residents
Benidorm celebrates that the Ministry attends to its proposal and plans to recover the connection between the N-332 and El Trinquet area
The Mayor of Benidorm, Toni Pérez, has described as "very good news" that the Ministry of Transport, Mobility and Urban Agenda has finally promoted the project that will allow the connection between the N-332 and the Trinquet area to be recovered. . The mayor has made this assessment after the provisional approval of the project to create an incorporation lane that joins Assagador de la Barrinada area and the N-332 and has been published in the Official State Gazette (BOE) today.
Toni Pérez stressed that this project addresses "the proposal made by the City Council in September 2015", when the local administration alleged against the Ministry's decision to suppress El Trinquet exit road to the N-332.
The mayor celebrated the approval of the project, valued at just over 338,000 euros, after "fighting for so long to recover this direct connection to the N-332 towards Valencia and, with it, the mobility of the area of the Huerta ”.
As the mayor has recalled, the City Council provided up to three reports against the closure of this access, which since then has forced vehicles to travel more than 3 kilometers to reach the N-332 compared to 800 meters previous. Some routes that, in addition, have forced vehicles to access "more urban areas with a school presence" - such as Camí Vell de l'Alfàs-, also generating "difficulties and prejudices" for neighboring residents.
