Benidorm announces 20 openings for local police officers to fill vacancies in the force

The Local Government Board of Benidorm City Council has approved the call for applications for twenty Local Police officer positions. These positions are currently vacant and are included in the Public Employment Offers (OEP) for the years 2023 and 2024. Of the twenty positions offered, twelve will be open-sector positions and eight will be inter-administrative mobility positions.
Specifically, twelve positions correspond to the 2023 OEP and eight to the 2024 OEP. In the case of the positions belonging to the 2023 OEP, seven will be open-sector positions and five will be mobility positions; and of the eight positions for the 2024 OEP, five will be open-sector positions and three will be mobility positions.
Applicants for open positions must be Spanish nationals, not be disqualified from holding public office or separated from any public administration, have no criminal record, and hold a high school diploma. They must also be at least 18 years of age and must agree to carry and, if necessary, use firearms. They must also hold a B and A2 driving license, not suffer from any illness or physical defect that impedes the performance of their duties, and be at least 1.65 meters tall for men and 1.58 meters tall for women.
The terms and conditions of the call also state that applicants for open positions must be career civil servants belonging to the Special Administration Scale, Special Services Subscale, Local Police Class, Basic Scale Specialty, Agent Category, classified in Group C, Subgroup C1, from any of the municipalities of the Valencian Community. Likewise, they must have served in permanent positions for at least two years as civil servants in the category for which the competition is being held, not have been suspended or disqualified from holding public office, have a B and A2 driving license, and have been in active service for at least one year immediately before the deadline for submitting applications.
The full terms and conditions of the call will be published in the Official Gazette of the Province of Alicante, an extract in the Official Gazette of the Generalitat Valenciana, and on the notice board of the municipal electronic office. The announcement of the call will also be published in the Official State Gazette. An expenditure of €348,374.07 has been approved for this call.
Regarding deadlines, the Councilor for Human Resources, Ana Soliveres, clarified that "to register for the process, you must wait for its publication in the Official State Gazette (BOE)." Then, "interested parties will have 20 business days to submit their application to participate in the call"; the process will be processed through the e-office.
