Teachers and students will participate in the free concerts that will be held throughout the week
100 students from all over the world participate in Benidorm International Music Course
From July 1 to July 5 will be held in Benidorm the thirty-first edition of its International Music Course and the twenty-first of its Music Contest organized by the Department of Culture that Jaime Jesús Pérez coordinates and that will bring together in Benidorm the best teachers and the best promises of classical music of the moment.
In the course have enrolled a hundred students from around the world who will travel to Benidorm attracted by the quality and demand of the event that adds, year after year, more and more followers.
The professors who will participate in the current edition of the course are Michal Dmochowski, cello professor at the Jacinto Guerrero Professional Conservatory of Music in Toledo and assistant professor at the Reina Sofia School of Music; Angel Sanzo, piano teacher at the Superior Music Conservatory of Badajoz and the Alfonso X University of Madrid; Jean-Denis Michat, professor of saxophone at the Lyon Regional Conservatory; Benidoro Ricardo Llorca, professor of composition at the Juilliard School and the Queen Sofia Spanish Institute in New York. The winner of the 2008 edition of the Benidorm Music Contest, Adam Delgado, will be the trumpet teacher.
The inaugural concert of the course will be on the same day 1, at 10 p.m. It will intervene the winner of last year's edition in the trumpet mode, Hector Buigues. Day 2 will perform, Ángel Sanzo (piano), Adán Delgado (trumpet) and Pepe Gallego (piano). On the 3rd, the final of the XXI Music Contest will be held, in the specialty of cello. On day 4 a concert will be held by the students of the course. Finally, on July 5 at 9:30 pm, Michal Dmochowski (cello), Grahan Jackson (piano), Jean-Denis Michat (Saxophone) and Stephanos Spanopoulos (piano) will take part. All recitals, free, will take place in the Assembly Hall of the City Council.
