Urban Scene covers the basses of the fountains of Park of l'Aigüera to avoid the proliferation of mosquitoes and falls
The Department of Urban Scene, directed by the mayor José Ramón González de Zárate, has decided to cover the basses of the fountains that mark the central walk of l'Aigüera Park to "avoid falls and the proliferation of mosquitoes," while " to improve the accessibility "of this green enclave.
De Zárate indicated that "we have carried out this action in view of the criticisms and complaints raised by neighbors" fundamentally with regard to "the accumulation of water" in the lower part of these sources. A circumstance that "propitiated the appearance and presence of mosquitoes."
These works of coverage, which have been done with "the same floor" as the rest of the pavement of the park, are being carried out by one of the brigades of young people under 30 years of age hired through the EMPUJU program, co-financed by the European Union through the Operational Program of the European Social Fund (ESF) of the Valencian Community 2014-2020.
These brigades are also executing the repair of the 'running' lane that surrounds Julio Iglesias auditorium in l'Aigüera Park, and subsequently will act in those closest to Oscar Esplá.
