La estilista Cristina Rodríguez llena el salón de actos con su conferencia 'La mujer en el mundo laboral'

This afternoon the second conference, 'Coco Chanel', is held at La Casa del Fester in the scheduled events

The assembly hall of Benidorm Town Hall was small last night to host the conference 'Women in the world of work', in charge of the Cristina Rodríguez from Benidorm, costume designer of cinema that throughout her career accumulates nominations to the Goya  Awards and that in the last times has become a televising face very recognized by her  appearance like an stylist in the program 'Change me'. This conference opens the program of the International Women's Day, which will be celebrated tomorrow, Wednesday, March 8.

The event began with a brief presentation by the mayor of the area, Angela Llorca, about the qualities of the costume designer, stylist and actress in her long professional career and have allowed her to be a reference for women in working life .

Cristina Rodríguez, as a monologue, reviewed all her history since she began her training in Benidorm with many of the attendees present, to become a benchmark of styling on the big screen and television programs.

For ninety minutes she narrated many anecdotes that have accompanied her in her professional and work life, highlighting the efforts that she has often been found, given the inequality of opportunities between men and women, and how she has faced them to overcome them, affecting her continuous struggle for equality and claiming a more important role for women.

The mayor of Benidorm, Toni Pérez, closed the ceremony with a few words praising the work of the actress, and said she was the woman "who best represents the name of Benidorm."

This afternoon the scheduled events will continue with a new conference at La Casa del Fester organized by Patch-Benidorm Association, entitled 'Coco Chanel' and given by Vicenta Rodríguez.

On Wednesday 8 March, the International Women's Day, the day will begin with the placement of a banner on the balcony of the City Hall at 10.00. About 14.00 hours, Anémona organizes a meal of coexistence; and in the afternoon, from 18.00 hours, the Assembly Hall of the City Council will host the institutional event in which the president of Memba, Berenice Laporta, will read a manifesto. Then a poetic and musical act organized by the housewives will take place, and next it will be the turn of the historian Vanesa Navarro who will approach 'La historia de la mujer benidormense que el tiempo tornó sepia'.
