SM l’Illa opens ‘Concerts d’Estiu’ by Benidorm music bands in Julio Iglesias auditorium

l’Illa Musical Society opened last night, in Julio Iglesias auditorium in Parque de l’Aigüera, the cycle of ‘Concerts d’Estiu’ that each summer season the three bands from Benidorm perform. Under the direction of Felipe Juan Lanuza, SM l’Illa performed the proposal ‘Conta’m un conte’, composed of two parts, in the first of which the band was accompanied by Voces Amigas choir.
The assistants, among whom were the mayor, Toni Pérez, and the Councilor for Culture, Jaime Jesús Pérez, listened to the interpretation of the pieces ‘De major serà’ by the teacher Josep Cano from Benidorm; ‘Un conte enredat’ by Enrique Alborch; 'Trip the stars' by David Sebastián; 'Concert d'amore' and 'Oregon' by Jacob de Haan; and ‘Paradise’ by Óscar Navarro.
The cycle continues this Sunday, July 18, with the ‘Summer Concert’ by the Symphonic Band of the Musical Union of Benidorm, at 9:00 pm in Julio Iglesias auditorium; while on August 1 it will be the turn of SM La Nova.
