The restoration of Vasco Núñez de Balboa school will begin on July 5

The mayor of Benidorm, Toni Pérez, together with the Councilor for Education, Maite Moreno, municipal technicians and the director of the public school Vasco Núñez de Balboa, José Eduardo Bolívar, has inspected today the educational facilities where they are going to carry out works of improvement from next July 5.

These works respond to the demands of the City Council and the educational community that for years have been claiming adequacy and improvements in a center that opened in 1975. Specifically, the action will include the partition through partitions of classrooms, the substitution of the floor of the gym and the installation of new furniture in the kitchen and in the school dining room. The tasks also include the new construction of the concierge's house.

The total amount of this project amounts to 387,342 euros (taxes included), 100% paid by the Generalitat and will be made by OHL Servicios Ingesan. The term of execution of the works is four months, although, from the Technical Area of ​​the City of Benidorm and the Department of Education has proposed that the deadline be shortened to the maximum so that they do not interfere with the new school year that will begin on September 9.
