22 October 2018
Recitales y música en la apertura del ‘III Festival Internacional de Poesía Benidorm & Costa Blanca’

The 'III Benidorm & Costa Blanca International Poetry Festival' began this afternoon at the City Hall with a day of recitals by the 19 invited poets of this edition, from 16 different countries. A festival in which students from the IES Mediterránia and Pere Mª Orts i Bosch have also participated, and whose opening was attended by the Councilor for Culture, Ana Pellicer; and the mayor of Escena Urbana, José Ramón González de Zárate.

The event began with the performance of a student at the Municipal Conservatory of Music 'José Pérez Barceló', who has played two piano pieces. Next, the participating poets have passed through the stage one by one to recite some of their compositions, accompanied by the classical guitar of Joaquín Boscá and the soprano Marlene Aquino.

Directed and organized by the president of the Poetic Liceo, Julio Pavanetti, and the treasurer of the entity, Annabel Villar, the festival will continue until next October 27 with activities in Benidorm and other municipalities of Marina Baixa.

In addition to the opening day, in Benidorm on Wednesday 24, at 6:00 p.m. in the social center José Llorca Linares, a recital of the invited poets with the participation of the theater groups Tossal and Catharsis has been scheduled; with music and dance from the Manchega Tramontana Cultural Association and with the participation of the musician Joaquín Boscá (classical guitar).
