The Professional Health Union of Alicante rewards Anemone for its fight against breast cancer and its support for patients
Anémona, the Self-Help Group for Women with Breast Cancer of Marina Baixa, has received a special mention from Unión Profesional Sanitaria de Alicante-UPSANA, in recognition of the trajectory of its work in favor of women who have suffered or are suffering from this pathology and its contribution to the creation and maintenance of health, care and rehabilitation practices for patients and their families. The award ceremony took place yesterday afternoon in the Auditorium of the Official College of Physicians of Alicante in the framework of the VIII Health Gala 2019 and was attended by the First Deputy Mayor and Mayor of Health, Ana Pellicer.
Anémona has received this distinction in the category of "social collective", together with the Alicante Provincial Association of Women with Breast Cancer (APAMM) and the Association of Women Affected by Breast Cancer in Elche and Comarca (AMACMEC). In addition to Anémona, ten health professionals and groups have been distinguished, which have stood out for their dedication and work in favor of patients and their family environment. The objective of this gala is to encourage professional excellence and to make society aware of the service provided by the different health professions, recognizing the most outstanding works and careers in this field. The awards were granted by the colleges of the province of: Doctors, Nurses, Dentists / Stomatologists, Pharmacists, Dietitians / Nutritionists, Physiotherapists, Psychologists and Veterinarians.
