Four of the five central trade unions support the document, which establishes the value of the point in one euro

The General Board finally approves the VPT

12 April 2019
La Mesa General aprueba definitivamente la VPT

The General Table of Negotiation, of which the trade unions and the Administration are part, has approved today definitively the Valuation of Positions of Work (VPT) of Benidorm City council. The councilor of Human Resources (RRHH), Jesús Carrobles, explained that "the document fixes in one euro the value of the points assigned to each job", and has been supported by four of the five trade union centers. Specifically, in favor of the VPT have voted the SPPLB, CSIF, CCOO and SEP, while UGT has been positioned against.

Carrobles "after the agreement of the General Negotiating Table, the VPT must now also be approved in the full sessionto to be applied", and has advanced that the document will be included "in the ordinary session corresponding to the month of April". He also stressed that "the document approved today is supported by reports from the areas of Intervention and Personnel, which support the value of the assigned point and the procedure that the Administration has followed for the preparation and approval of the VPT."

The HR councilor stressed that "the document voted today in the General Table of Negotiation is the result of the various meetings and negotiations carried out in recent months with the different trade unions to develop a VPT adapted to the reality of the municipal staff " At this point he recalled that "the last VPT, and consequently the one in force, dates from 1995".

Carrobles has clarified that the initial document has suffered variations resulting from the allegations presented by the unions and the reports issued by the heads of each department; and has highlighted "the extraordinary effort that this government team has made to promote and reconcile the interests of the Administration and the representatives of the workers".

"The objective - he added - has always been to provide municipal workers with a document that would effectively assess each job and its functions; and we have fulfilled that objective and the commitment we have made with all the VPT union centers for so many years claimed. "
