The photographic exhibition of the tracking of the 'paiño' on the islets of Benidorm, arrives at Ermita de Sanz
The exhibition of the 25th anniversary of the monitoring of the European seabird, (hydrobotes pelagicus), on the islets of Benidorm, continues its journey through the Marina Baixa. After viviting La Torreta, the 'José Llorca Linares' Social Center, Casa del Fester, 'Tanit' Social Center, Espai d'Art in Benidorm, and the Casa de Cultura de l'Alfàs del Pi, now it is the turn of the Hermitage of Sanz, concretely in the House of the Llaurador, where it will be able to be seen from tomorrow.
This small-sized seabird breeds in small islets near the coast. On the island of Benidorm, framed within the Serra Gelada Natural Park, classified as a Special Protection Area for Birds (ZEPA), the spider has one of its most important colonies in the Mediterranean, which since 1992 has been thoroughly monitored. This exhibition is the result of these 25 years of work.
The exhibition can be seen from October 3 to 15, from 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. In addition to the Department of Environment and the Generalitat, it is sponsored by the Lions Club, the Center for Scientific Research (CSIC), the University of the Balearic Islands, the Institut Meditarrani d'Estudis Avançats (IMEDEA) and the PIM project (Small Islands of the Mediterranean).
