The City Council continues disinfection against Covid-19
The ordinary cleaning service reinforces the manual disinfection in all neighborhoods

From today “the ordinary manual cleaning service is also carrying out disinfection tasks in all neighborhoods of Benidorm, thus adding to the extraordinary services that have been provided in the city since the beginning of the pandemic and those launched in recent weeks ”, As reported by the mayor, Toni Pérez.
For this, "the twenty operators who daily handle the manual sweeping of the neighborhoods have been equipped with disinfection backpacks." In this way, these brigades "will be able to attend to the disinfection needs that arise in their area during the morning or afternoon, reinforcing the nocturnal disinfection of public spaces that has been carried out uninterruptedly since last March."
The mayor explained that “the workers of the ordinary service cleaning brigades know the particularities of each of the neighborhoods to which they are assigned and, consequently, they know which are the busiest points, the most used urban furniture or the establishments with a greater flow of people and that therefore require a more detailed action throughout the day ”.
Toni Pérez recalled that "at the moment, and with this reinforcement of the ordinary service, we have four disinfection devices in place, covering all time bands and neighborhoods in Benidorm."
Thus, at night, public spaces, entrances to health centers and health establishments, social centers, care centers for the elderly, essential services, parks and promenades, bus stops, urban furniture and entrances and exits of the public spaces are disinfected daily. schools. In the mornings, for several weeks, a brigade with machinery has been in charge of the disinfection of public roads, servicing a neighborhood of Benidorm every day. In both services the spray cannon purchased at the beginning of summer acts.
In addition, last Monday "the disinfection service of accesses and common areas of buildings and communities was reactivated"; a service that is provided from Monday to Friday in the morning and afternoon, and it is planned that next week the disinfection of the facades and entrances to hospitality establishments will also resume. According to the data transferred by the mayor, "to date more than 800 requests have been received from neighboring communities and an average of 40 daily disinfections are being carried out."
