This car park has a free bus service to the Dowtown and Levante area

Nearly 300 spaces are already operational in the park-and-ride car park on Cuba Avenue

The park-and-ride car park on Cuba Avenue already has nearly 300 places in operation, after a new platform with a capacity for more than 150 vehicles was put into service today. The City Council has opened this new platform today, coinciding with the European Mobility Week, and in the coming days, it will complete the adaptation of the entire plot until reaching more than 500 places.

The mayor, Toni Pérez, and the Councilor for Mobility, José Ramón González de Zárate, today verified the progress of the adaptation work, which will allow "multiplying by four the initial capacity of this park and ride, thus offering residents, workers from other towns and tourists one more alternative to free public parking in the Poniente area”.

Toni Pérez recalled that "the City Council recently reached an agreement with the owners of this plot, with an area of more than 12,000 square meters, so that it would be enabled as a park and ride until at least mid-September 2024". "In this way, we continue to expand our offer of dissuasive parking spaces at the main entrances to the city, both in Poniente and Levante, thus improving our urban mobility", he specified.

At this time, "Benidorm already has more than 7,000 free spaces in nearly 40 park-and-ride car parks distributed throughout the city, in addition to the offer of private car parks and that of other municipal park-and-ride car parks, such as the one at Las Terrazas”.
“I doubt that any destination offers this volume of dissuasive spaces”, remarked the mayor, who recalled that, in addition, this car park on Cuba Avenue has “free bus service to the Centro and Levante areas, making it even easier for drivers arrive comfortably and agilely to their destination”.

To make use of this service, drivers have at their disposal a parking meter where they will obtain a free return ticket for the same day with the origin and return to the car park. Public transport lines 2 and 3 operate in this car park, with a frequency of between 15 and 20 minutes.
