The event 'Revive la historia ... de cine' is celebrated from the 16 to the 18 of June and will congregate thousands of people in the three days

More than 300 people will recreate next weekend on the beach of Poniente de Benidorm the most decisive military operation of World War II: the mythical Allied landing in Normandy. Benidorm City Council, the Codex Belix Association and Poniente Neighborhood Association organize, with the collaboration of the Ministry of Defense and the Subdelegation of the Government of Alicante, this historic recreation within a three-day leisure event that meets Its tenth edition. 'A story ... of cinema' will start on Friday, June 16th; Will count on activities of entertainment, information, musical and exhibitions; and will transport the public to the 40's of last century.
The Councilor of Fiestas, Jesús Carrobles, and the president of Codex Belix, Antonio Lalaguna, presented this morning the details of this event accompanied by several recreators characterized by the military uniforms of different countries participating in the contest. A three-day event that in previous years has been successfully developed in Murcia, Marbella, Torrejón de Ardoz and Leganés, although the Benidorm is the first occasion to recreate the Normandy landing.
According to Carrobles and Lalaguna, in total on the sand of Poniente will see on Saturday June 16 recreators of more than 30 associations and groups from Spain, to which will be added the arrivals from other countries. Both have advanced that this event is expected to attract Benidorm to several thousand dozens of people to live a "theme park of history".
The activities will begin on Friday 16 at 17.30 with the opening of the airsoft zone, the different stands of the Armed Forces and military collection, and the military camps of the different armies that will be stationed in the Park of Elche. Later in the House of the Fester will take place the conference 'Day D', in which will be told the details of the largest military operation of the race, which has recently been 73 years. During the three days there will be exhibitions of uniforms and miniatures, parades of old military vehicles, musical performances style 40 years in charge of 'The Red Velvets' and' Dr. Bogarde ', and even an exhibition with jumping on the part of the School of Skydiving' Méndez Parada 'of the Air Force.
The highlight of this weekend's tribute at the beginning of the end of World War II will be the recreation of the episode of Normandy, scheduled for Saturday, June 17 at 7:00 p.m., and for which a motorboat 12 meters of which were used in the aforementioned disembarkation. But D-Day in Normandy will not be the only recreation.
