Hundreds of people watched last night as the fire consumed the monuments, bringing tears to bellesa Claudia Salas and other members of the bonfire association (foguerers)
The 'Cremà' marks the end of the La Cala de Benidorm Bonfire Festival

Benidorm concluded the Bonfire Festival in the La Cala neighborhood just after midnight yesterday with a moving "Nit de la Cremà" (Night of the Cremà) that faithfully fulfilled the ritual of fire. The event began shortly before eleven at night with the cremà of the children's bonfire. A few minutes after midnight, the cremà of the main monument followed. "Bellesa" Claudia Salas and "Cremaora" Paula González de Zárate were in charge of lighting the fuse that eventually consumed the monument, but not before pardoning the "ninots" as a reminder of this festive exercise. Finally, as tradition dictates, the evening concluded with the traditional "banyà" (banyà) of festival-goers and the public. Before the cremà began, several hundred people gathered on the beach promenade near Calle Murtal to catch a glimpse of the event.
Yesterday began with a mass at noon in the Church of San Juan Bautista and continued with the firing of a mascletá at 2:00 p.m. The mayor of Benidorm, Toni Pérez, and the councillor for Festivals, Mariló Cebreros, accompanied the belle and the president of this committee, Pedro Castro, along with the rest of the La Cala bonfires (foguerers) at the final event of their festivities. Also present were other councillors from the municipal government; the queens of the 2025 Patron Saint Festivals, Paula Pascual Sánchez and Aitana Pérez Gutiérrez; and representatives of the Patron Saint Festivals Committee and the Association of Verge del Sofratge (Bonfires).
Both Pérez and Cebreros congratulated the La Cala commission members for the celebration of these festivities and "keeping the tradition of the Bonfires alive in Benidorm." Finally, they wished "the same success" for the 2026 festival cycle, which will begin in the coming days.
