The mayor of Benidorm, Toni Pérez, has received this midday in his office with the Councilor for Sports, Mariló Cebreros, the local athletes Emma Segovia, Daniel Armas and Piero Cherubini who have won four medals in the European Nautical Ski Championship of Cable Ski held last September in Minsk (Belarus).
Daniel Armas and Piero Cherubini, in senior men, and Emma Segovia in senior women, have achieved bronze, silver and gold respectively for Spain, in a competition with more than fifty skiers, from around ten European countries. The young Alejandro Armas, was in third place, with a triple tie, evenly-matched in the sub 15 category.
The Spanish team won the silver medal, showing the quality in this sport at an international level, in which, without a doubt, Mayor Toni Pérez stands out, "Benidorm is an authentic youth academy for water skiing in Cable Ski, a city that stands out, not only for tourism, but for the level of sporting and sporting events."
