The sixth edition of the Low Festival in Benidorm has made in the city an economic impact of 14 million euros, representing a million improvement in the results of the previous year. This increase was reflected in both the direct impact and in the media, according to figures provided by the organization of Low through various sources of data presented on Thursday by the mayor, Toni Pérez; by the event director, José Piñeiro; and the head of communications of the festival, Sergio Moreno. Direct expenditure by attendees in accommodation, catering, shopping and services in Benidorm has resulted in 9.2 million; while the impact on media exceeded 5 million, most of them in the five months before the festival. The mayor has said that these results show that "the formula and offer for Low in Benidorm works" and added that "this year the festival has set a new a record of attendance of 78,000 people- and excellence in artistic quality and production. " Of all the survey data, Pérez has highlighted that "90% of the 'lowers' recommends Benidorm and the festival and wants to return" as well as the "85% of attendees who spent three or more days in the city. "The director of the Low, meanwhile, has stressed the degree of fidelity of the festival, since 65% of attendees had already been in previous years; and added that 66% of 'lowers' come from outside the province of Alicante, highlighting Madrid public. He has also placed emphasis on the binomial Benidorm-Low, claiming that the city can "get the best of an urban festival and the best of a beach festival". Piñeiro has indicated that it is already working on the edition of 2017, and today VIP and VIP POOL tickets have been put on sale and that in about a month the first names of the poster will be announced. Meanwhile, the organization is considering to include some actions aimed at those who attend the festival with their children. It is also possible to deepen the collaboration with local associations, after the 'feedback' that was achieved with the new party before the opening of the Festival in Levante organized by the City Hall and Ociobal.
