L’Espai d’Art Carrascos premieres a show of the photographer Rodrigo Roher
L’Espai d’Art Urbà los Carrascos premieres a photographic project by Rodrigo Roher composed of ten images with a common denominator: the island of Benidorm. 'L'Illa', which will be exposed until the end of the year. It puts the emphasis on the “enigmatic and majestic presence of our island, which attracts everyone who looks at the Mediterranean from our beaches”, as detailed by the Councilor for Historical Heritage Ana Pellicer In fact, Rodrigo Roher himself argues that the island “exerts a power of attraction from which neither my camera nor I could, nor did we want to escape,” and refers to the many legends that circulate about the appearance of the small island in the middle of the sea, opting for those linked to Puig Campana and Roldán, the French hero.
Pellicer has pointed out that “with this project, so linked to our city and to which it is our most identifying icon, we renew the content of a Espai d'Art with which we intend to bring art and culture closer to the citizen and their daily life, and always looking for top-notch photographic artists and with a proven and recognized trajectory ”.
Rodrigo Roher, from Salamanca is focused on street photography. He is a member of the photographic collective ‘The street is ours’ and a regular contributor to Fujifilm. His work has obtained numerous national and international awards.
