Hundreds of people join the celebration of the Bicycle's Day
Hundreds of people have joined this Sunday to the celebration of the XXXVI Bicycle Day, which aims to encourage the use of bicycles as a means of transport and has had exit and arrival in the Foietes Park. A celebration that once again had a family character and to which the mayor, Toni Pérez, has joined as well as the Councilor for Sports, Arturo Cabrillo; and several councilors of the government team who have enjoyed the 16-kilometer journey, which has led participants to visit Séquia Mare park, Antonio López football fields in Rincón de Loix and both beaches.
As in previous editions, this activity organized by the Department of Sports has had the support and collaboration of the Table Benidorm Pro-Bicicleta and cycling clubs in the city.
After the tour, a raffle of gifts among the participants took place. Among the raffled material, eleven bicycles, equipment and sports equipment, and vouchers delivered by the collaborating companies. The sports councilor and several members of the corporation participated in the awards ceremony.
