The Department of Equality has set a date for the premiere of the six short films from the fourth edition of the 'Documóvil' project, in which around twenty ESO, Bachiller and vocational training students from Benidorm have participated. It will be on August 30 at the Óscar Esplá auditorium in Parque de l'Aigüera, with free admission, as confirmed by the councillor for the area, Ángela Zaragozí.

The councillor has reported that "just two weeks ago, the participating students completed the editing and post-production of the short films, with the supervision of the teaching staff who throughout the course has trained them in audiovisual matters and have assisted them throughout the writing process. , scriptwriting and filming”. This training has been complemented by the one they have also received in matters of gender equality.
At this point, Zaragozí recalled that “all the short films are shot with professional teams and have gender equality as a central theme, addressing issues such as gender roles, sexist violence or LGBTI; all of them raised and treated from the perspective of the students”.

As explained by the councillor, "the trailer made from the six short films is now available on Onda Benidorm YouTube channel and the City Council's social networks and is a preview of what the public will be able to see on August 30 at the premiere, in which both the students and the teachers and the actors and actresses who have collaborated with them will participate”.
Zaragozí stressed that “in this trailer, we can already see the very high quality of the work produced in this fourth edition of 'Documóvil', in which, according to what the teachers have told us, a high level has been achieved with short films with a stamp that is practically professional and in which there is a lot of talent and creativity”.

'Documóvil' project is promoted by the Department of Equality and is set up as a free extracurricular activity. From the three previous editions, 16 short films have emerged that have subsequently been exhibited in public screenings and also in the educational centres themselves, thus contributing to raising awareness among the younger population and making them participate in gender equality and diversity. "The best way to sensitize young people is through short films that speak their language and that have been created by the youth themselves", concluded the councillor.
