The municipal aid will be 100 euros for each month of stay abroad
The City Council launches a municipal grant for Erasmus students in Benidorm
The Department of Education of Benidorm City Council is going to launch municipal aid for the 2022/2023 academic year for students in the city who participate in European mobility programs such as Erasmus +, as reported today by the mayor of the area, Maite Moreno.
Moreno explained that “with this aid, we want to collaborate with university students and Higher Level Vocational Training students from Benidorm who, within their training, adhere to this type of program to carry out part of their training in other countries; an option that also allows them to live the experience of residing outside of Spain and complement their curricular activity with learning or perfecting a foreign language”.
As detailed by the person in charge of Education, "it is an aid of 100 euros for each month of stay abroad with a maximum period of 9 months, which is the duration of the entire academic year." Likewise, she has stressed that "this municipal aid is fully compatible with others that the student may receive from any public administration or private entity to facilitate their stay during the program."
In short, "it is about contributing our grain of sand so that Benidorm students have more facilities and financial resources during the months they spend studying abroad."
Moreno has indicated that "the bases that regulate these grants, which will be approved next Monday by the Local Government Board, establish that the payment to the beneficiaries will be unique and annual once the stay at the destination university has been verified for the period indicated". People registered in Benidorm with uninterrupted seniority of one year who prove that they have been selected to participate in an international mobility program in the 2022/2023 academic year will be eligible for these grants.
To facilitate the application and obtaining this aid "there will be two presentation shifts". The first will be for 30 business days from the publication of the bases in the Official Gazette of the Province; predictably from the end of June to the beginning of August, "although the specific deadlines will be reported as soon as they are specified".
As for the second round, it will be from November 27 to December 15, and applicants for Erasmus + second round scholarships will be able to participate, as well as those students who in the first round did not know or did not have their scholarship status. of the program.
