In addition to the Anémona trail, cleaning, coexistence and orientation days are planned, among others

The campaign 'A pie de calle' moves to El Moralet and begins to design the next activities together with local clubs

02 June 2022
El Moralet.

'A pie de calle' campaign carried out every Thursday by the Departments of Citizenship Participation and Works has moved today to the El Moralet area, where one of the main actions of the Sustainable and Integrative Urban Development strategy is carried out (EDUSI).

The councillors of Citizenship Participation, Public Space and Sports, Ana Pellicer, José Ramón González de Zárate and Mariló Cebreros have been accompanied by members of the Neighborhood Council and the city's cycling clubs to check 'in situ' the progress made in the trails that are being improved and adapted.

The entourage has verified that almost everything is ready so that on June 12 the 6th edition of the Trail of the Anémona association 'For them' can be developed, and they have already outlined some of the future activities that will be carried out in the area. Thus, Councilor Mariló Cebreros explained that "we have been talking with cycling clubs, athletics clubs and other entities to organize activities in the future and the best way to publicize this environment."

In addition to the next Anémona trail, "holding clean-up days regularly, with the collaboration of local entities and associations, to keep the entire area in perfect condition" has also been put on the table. In the same way, it has been advanced that this summer there will be "days of coexistence and orientation organized by local clubs, as those responsible have transferred to us."

"What we want" Cebreros pointed out "is that everyone can get to know and enjoy this area and for this, we are going to do everything necessary to value it because we are in a green lung of the city that deserves to be enjoyed by athletes, hikers and anyone who wants to be in contact with nature”.

Mariló Cebreros has recalled that the El Moralet area has 17 kilometres of trails in an area of 102 hectares, whose intervention for its environmental recovery has had a budget of 908,303 euros, of which 454,151 have been contributed by European FEDER funds.
