Tomorrow, starting at 8:00 a.m., with 'l'Ambaixada de l'Àngel', Holy Week in Benidorm will culminate on Easter Sunday
The brotherhoods of Benidorm accompany the Holy Sepulcher in the General Procession
The procession began their journey from the church of Sant Jaume i Santa Anna to continue along Calle Mayor, Alameda del Mayor Pedro Zaragoza, Los Ángeles, Pintor Lozano, Ricardo, Martínez Alejos, Paseo de la Carretera, Santa Faz and, of course, new, to Plaza de Sant Jaume.
The mayor of Benidorm, Toni Pérez, led the institutional representation, together with the Councilor for Fiestas, Jesús Carrobles, and other members of the corporation. Also participating in the procession were the national deputy, Agustín Almodóbar; the regional deputy Manuel Pérez Fenoll; the provincial one, José Ramón González de Zárate; and the General Director of Communication of the Generalitat, Pere Rostoll.
The Royal Brotherhood of Our Lady of Hope and Peace and Our Father Jesus of Health and Humility, with his older brother, José Manuel Olvera; the Brotherhood of Nuestro Padre Jesús Nazareno, with its president, Mª Dolores Cano; the Sacramental Brotherhood of the Holy Supper, chaired by Mª Teresa Cantó; the Brotherhood of the Prayer of Jesus in the Gethsemane Garden, with his older brother, Rafael González Castilla, who, in turn, is this year a member of the Benidorm Holy Week Council of Brotherhoods and Fraternities; the Brotherhood of the Most Holy Christ of Forgiveness and Good Death; and the Brotherhood of Our Lady of Sorrows.
Tomorrow Benidorm will celebrate Easter Sunday, with events organized by all the parishes, among which 'l'Ambaixada de l'Àngel' stands out, a procession that will begin at 8:00 a.m. from the church of Sant Jaume and Santa Anna to Alameda street where the thrones will be found and the girl Paula Fuentes will recite the traditional verses that are celebrated on Easter Sunday.
