La Serp Club celebrates its 50th anniversary with a theatrical evening at Ermita de Sanz

La Serp Club, one of the oldest clubs in Benidorm's festive scene, celebrates its 50th anniversary next Saturday with a fun, traditional Valencian theatrical evening on the esplanade of the Ermita de Sanz. It's a performance of the farce "Nelo Bacora" by Josep Peris Celda, which on this occasion will be performed entirely by the members of Penya La Serp and adapted to Benidorm. Several representatives of this festive organisation met with the Councillor for Fiestas, Mariló Cebreros, to share some aspects of this performance, with which they hope to celebrate their half-century of history in style.
The action of this farce, adapted to our town, takes place in a Benidorm law office, over a dispute over land in La Lloma district, at the beginning of the 20th century. From there, various events will unfold that are sure to elicit laughter from those in attendance. To enjoy this evening, members of La Serp have put tickets on sale for 15 euros, which includes a sandwich, a drink, and the performance, as well as a donation to the group.
Both Councilor Mariló Cebreros and the group have publicly invited the public to attend this "entertaining summer evening, which aims to celebrate 50 years as a group that has been part of our Patron Saint Festivities, where it has received various awards in the Comedy Parades, and is recognized for its connection to festive music."
Likewise, members of La Serp thanked "Benidorm City Council's Fiestas Department, the sponsors who supported the event, and the people of Benidorm for their collaboration in making this event possible."
