The Youth department reopens on Tuesday April 6 Espai Jove located in the Youth Information Center, in Plaza de Sus Majestades los Reyes de España and at its usual hours: from Monday to Friday, from 4 to 9 pm; and Saturdays, from 10 am to 2 pm.

The Councilor for Youth, Jaime Jesús Pérez, stressed that “the main objective of this initiative is to provide young people with a space where they can carry out their homework in a pleasant environment, with the support of monitors, while serving as meeting point and meeting with other young people ”.

Pérez recalled that his department programs "educational leisure activities and handicraft workshops, talks, cinema forums, storytelling, language learning, toy library and video games." These activities are part of the Municipal Project Activem els coles, which, said the councilor, "is part of the initiatives to reactivate the extracurricular activity of young people in Benidorm"

The councilor has highlighted that Espai Jove 2021 returns with new features compared to previous editions: "the programming will be monthly, it will be published on the website of Benidorm City Council and on the social networks of the Youth Council and the municipal multimedia platform" . Informational posters and brochures will increase the dissemination of these activities in educational centers and youth meeting points.

In this 2021 edition, Espai Jove, Pérez stressed, “has prepared a first aid, nutrition and values education workshop aimed at parents of young people”.

The programming for the month of April includes workshops in mathematics, English, German, reading, crafts, gardening, liberal thinking, dramatization and body percussion; experiments, a toy library, board and role-playing games, video games, a cinema forum and a BeyBlade tournament.

Espai Jove, recalled Jaime Jesús Pérez, "offers totally free activities and free attendance". At this time, Pérez indicated, Espai Jove and Benidorm City Council Youth Information Center apply anti-Covid protocols, so capacity is limited and the use of a mask is mandatory, recommending hand washing and the use of hydrogel dispensers ”. In case of first attendance at their activities, the interested parties must fill in the form of acceptance of conditions and consent to the participation of activities.
