The City Council recovered by judicial sentence this road access, closed for years by neighbors of the adjoining building
After the asphalting is planned the installation of furniture and the painting of games on the floor following the style of Escuelas Street
Benidorm has opened the pedestrian access that joins Cuba and Uruguay avenues, known as the 'road of Provima' in reference to the Community of Owners that for years made a private use of it. The City Council recovered this way after a sentence of the Contentious Administrative Court number 2 of Alicante ratified by the Provincial Court of Alicante in April of 2015. This Thursday the mayor, Toni Pérez; the councilman of Works, José Ramón González de Zárate; and the spokesman for the group Ciudadanos por Benidorm (CBM), Arturo Cabrillo, have visited the area to see the result of this action, which opens a new pedestrian access road to Miguel Hernández School from Uruguay Avenue. Likewise, they have verified the improvements that have been done on the sidewalks of Uruguay and Paraguay streets. The mayor explained that the opening of this side street has required a work of adaptation, since the road "was deteriorated as a result of the years that has been closed." Thus, the surface has been asphalted has been adjusted. Pérez said that "we want this crossing is not only a pedestrian area, but also a recreation." That is why "it is planned to install benches and also to create games painted on the floor so that the little ones can use this space as a recreation area". It would follow in this way the model that is already on Escuelas street. In addition, it is waiting for permission to subvert the overhead medium voltage power line and remove the tower located at the beginning of the way from Cuba street.
