Benidorm Local Police joins 'Escudos Solidarios' campaign against childhood cancer
It is an initiative with which officers from more than 160 local police forces of the Spanish State are raising funds for the fight against childhood cancer that in Benidorm is channeled through Aspanion -the Association of Parents of Children with Cancer in the Valencian Community, created and managed by affected parents- and focuses on the line of research developed by Sant Joan de Déu Pediatric Cancer Center Hospital.
With only a contribution of 5 euros you can participate by acquiring a shield of Benidorm police force, embroidered with golden thread, a color that symbolizes the fight against childhood cancer and that includes the legend '#for the brave', which identifies the struggle of the boys and girls against this disease.
This morning, a tent installed at the main entrance of Benidorm City Council has served to present the initiative and has received the first signs of solidarity, being visited by the Mayor of Benidorm, Toni Pérez, the Councilor for Citizen Security, Lorenzo Martínez, and a broad representation of the Municipal Corporation, which has collaborated with the initiative of Benidorm Local Police.
The ‘Solidarity Shields for the little gladiators’ can also be purchased at Benidorm Local Police Headquarters, at 6 Grecia Street, as well as at Aspanion's partner shops.
The culmination of the solidarity initiatives pursued by this campaign is reached when its collaborators upload and share photographs with the shield and the #paralosvalientesPLBND hashatg on Social Networks for greater visibility of this solidarity initiative.
