Benidorm limits the traffic on first line of Levante with changes of circulation and positioning of flowerpots

The City Council launches this Thursday, October 26, the first measures to reorder the traffic in the first line of Levante and reduce it to the minimum expression, as agreed by the Mobility Council in its last session on the proposal of the Local Police . Area councilor José Ramón González de Zárate has indicated that these measures affect the stretch of the avenue of Alcoy between Bilbao and Europe, and pursues, "for safety reasons", that "the presence of cars is minimal in one of the biggest influx of people. "

To do this, planters will be placed to prevent the passage of vehicles, and changes in the circulation will be introduced.

Thus, starting on Thursday vehicles that transit through the avenue of Alcoy from El Torrejó can only reach the avenue of Bilbao, which will obligatorily leave the Mediterranean. The next block, which runs to Avenida Sacerdote Juan Rodríguez, will only be accessed by residents with parking in the Bassa Seca building. The remaining vehicles that access the first line of Levante by Priest Juan Rodriguez can only circulate an apple, until arriving at Journalist Emilio Romero. At this point, planters will be installed to prevent the passage of vehicles to the avenue of Europe, this last section being completely closed to traffic.

De Zárate said that these planters are "provisional", since "the idea is to install dump bins directly controlled by the Local Police that will be raised or lowered in emergency cases and to allow the passage to the owners of ford in that first line ".

On Thursday, "at the request of Radio Taxi", there will be traffic changes on two streets of the Ensanche de Levante: Mallorca and Murcia. The council has clarified that these changes "do not affect the total route of both streets, if not only the sections that connect with the avenue of the Mediterranean." Specifically, "it is going to reverse the sense of circulation in those stretches", so that Mallorca "happens to be out to the Mediterranean" and "Murcia becomes a street of entry to Gerona."
