Users will be able to purchase packages of 5, 10 or 20 passes to park for 12 hours for 2.99 euros

Benidorm launches a new discount campaign for parking in Tomás Ortuño car park

05 September 2024
Benidorm lanza una nueva campaña de descuentos para aparcar en el parking de Tomás Ortuño

The Mobility Department of Benidorm City Council is going to launch a new discount campaign in the Tomás Ortuño car park, to “boost local consumption in shops and restaurants and, at the same time, offer an economic alternative for residents and visitors when parking”. This was conveyed this Thursday by the Mobility Councillor, Francis Muñoz, who stressed that this initiative will allow parking for up to a maximum of 12 hours in the Tomás Ortuño car park, with a fixed rate of 2.99 euros.

The Mobility Councillor appeared alongside Cristian Muñoz, Levante delegate of the concessionaire company Telpark, which manages three public car parks in Benidorm, to announce this new discount campaign, whose marketing starts next Monday, 9 September, and will continue “until the 30th of this month or until the stock quota is exhausted”.

In this way, users will be able to buy a 5, 10 or 20-pass pass through the Telpark app, each of which will cost 2.99 euros and with which they will be able to access the car park and park for 12 hours without having to go through the checkout or carry out any other procedure, given that “the system itself will recognise the number plate and open the barrier to the vehicle to which these passes are linked”, explained the spokesperson for the concessionaire. In the case of exceeding 12 hours of parking, “the difference must be paid before leaving the car park”, said Cristian Muñoz, while “the only limitation is that each user can only buy a maximum of 40 passes”.

The sales campaign will take place in September, although “the use of the passes will be valid for one year”, said the Councillor for Mobility.

“Users will be able to use them until September 2025,” according to Francis Muñoz, who also stressed that “while regulated parking in the blue zone has an hourly cost of 0.50 cents, this rate will allow parking in a closed, guarded car park with 24-hour assistance for 0.25 cents an hour.” “It is a competitive offer and in an area like Tomás Ortuño, in the heart of Benidorm and where there is a great deal of shopping, catering and leisure,” he added.

Finally, the councillor stressed that “once again, we are launching a campaign to benefit our economic fabric and our neighbours and offer parking facilities,” after which he hoped that it “will be to everyone’s liking.”
