Benidorm informs the students about the educational options in the 'Educational Orientation Days'
Benidorm celebrates these days the first 'Educational Orientation Days', a series of activities designed to show the students of the city all the possibilities at their disposal in order to choose their future training and employment. This morning the Educational Fair was opened in the 'Carrer de Pilota' of the Palau d'Esports l'Iilla, in which 24 stands of educational centers, entities or local, county, provincial and state institutions participated, which during the days of Today and tomorrow - from 08.30 to 15.00 - they will inform ESO and Bachiller students about their educational offer.
The mayor, Toni Pérez, who also manages the area of Education, has approached the Fair to share impressions with participating entities and centers: AIRCO, UNED, FEMPA, Youth Information Center, Local Development Agency, FPA, Police Local, National Police, Ministry of Defense, Firefighters, Maple Training, Lasvi Training, Lope de Vega College, Miguel Hernández University, LABORA, Cardenal Herrera University CEU, IES Rodolfo Llopis, IES La Malladeta, IES Bellaguarda, EOI Benidorm, Red Cross, University of Alicante, Catholic University of Valencia, and ESATUR. In addition to the mayor, the Councilwoman of Youth, Ana Pellicer, has also visited the Fair; the mayor of Employment and Local Development, Mª Jesús Pinto; as well as several members of the local government and the corporation.
Parallel to the Fair, the five Secondary Education Institutes (IES) of Benidorm have organized until April 8th Open Door Days to publicize their educational projects and facilities. These days will allow 59 groups of students, a total of 900 young people, to visit the facilities of each center with commented itineraries that advise them on the training offer of each one of them. To this end, the Department of Education has prepared an operation to move 26 of these groups to the educational area of Salt de l'Aigua and IES Mediterrània.
The mayor stressed that in these 'Educational Orientation Days' "not only institutions, entities and centers of the training field participate, but also those linked to employability"; At the same time, it has impacted on "the importance of continuous training and education" as a "fundamental element for labor insertion".
In this first day of the Fair has also failed the first Contest of Microvideos, organized by the councils of Youth and Education, which have taken part the five IES of the city: Pere Maria Orts i Bosch, Bernat de Sarriá, l 'Almadrava, Beatriu Fajardo of Mendoza and Mediterrània. All of them have received a voucher of 200 euros in educational material. In addition, the audiovisual work done by the IES l'Almadrava has been proclaimed the winner of this edition and has received another 300 euros, redeemable at the local partner shops.
