Benidorm incorporates four new sectors to ‘Parenthesis Grants’ and extends the application period to August 2
Benidorm City Council has incorporated four new sectors and types of activities as possible beneficiaries of ‘Parenthesis Grants’ and has extended the application period for them until August 2. This has been reported today by the Councilor for Employment and Local Development, Mónica Gómez, after the Local Government Board (JGL) approved today "modifying the bases of this second call for aid, to add four CNAEs included by the Consell in the list of sectors affected by the pandemic and that did not appear in the initial list approved by the Generalitat and included in Decree Law 7/2021, of May 7 ”.
These are, specifically, CNAE's 1005 –Beer manufacturing-, 4519 –Sale of motor vehicles other than cars and light engines-, 6010 –Broadcasting activities- and 6020 –TV programming and broadcasting activities-. These CNAE's “are added to the long list of activities that the City Council had already included in the first call for the 'Parenthesis Grants' and in the second, currently in the application submission phase and for which a first remittance has already been approved with about 200 beneficiary companies and self-employed professionals ”.
The councillor explained that "by now expanding the sectors that can benefit from these grants, we have decided to extend the period for submitting applications so that the companies or freelancers included in these new CNAE's have the same term as the rest of applicants have had to participate in this call ”. In this way, applications can be formalized until 11:59 p.m. on August 2 on the website: https://sede.benidorm.org. In the same web the bases of the aid and the annexes with all the CNAE's included are published.
Gómez has pointed out that "logically from this new submission deadline, the rest of the companies and professionals who were previously included in the call may also benefit."
"We continue, within the conditions set by the Consell, modulating these 'Parenthesis Grants' to try to favor the largest possible number of companies and self-employed people in Benidorm, through these benefits aimed at businesses with up to 10 workers or professionals who have in our city its fiscal or activity domicile ”, the councilor specified. Aid that amounts to 2,000 euros per company or self-employed, to which is added 200 euros 'extra' for each worker registered on December 31, 2020 ”.
For this second phase of ‘Parenthesis Grants’ the financial allocation is about 3.2 million euros, financed by the Generalitat, Alicante Provincial Council and the City Council. This same week the JGL has already approved the first remittance of this call, which amounts to about 445,000 euros and which will allow an average of 2,200 euros to be injected into the economy of practically 200 companies and freelancers in Benidorm.
This amount is added to the more than 2 million euros that were already resolved in the first call, which reached about 900 business and professionals.
