Benidorm improves access to the park-and-ride parking lot on Italia Street

Benidorm City Council, through the Departments of Mobility and Urban Space, has undertaken a series of improvements to the park-and-ride parking lot on Calle Italia, a facility with capacity for more than 200 vehicles that had some shortcomings.
The work consisted of installing a concrete layer in the parking lot's access and exit area and removing most of the potholes and irregularities in the terrain. According to Councillor Francis Muñoz, this intervention was carried out in response to requests from residents and parking lot users.
The work was completed today after being carried out in two stages "so as not to interfere with users' entry and exit from the parking lot," explained the councilor, who specified that it consisted of "applying a concrete slab at the entrance to the parking lot, covering just over 100 square meters." The work has been carried out now "to avoid affecting the school term, as many parents use this area when they take their children to nearby schools."
The entrance and exit to the parking lot have been improved with 12 cubic meters of concrete, "and with this we have prevented the pavement on Calle Italia from becoming dirty with mud and dirt from the parking lot every time it rains, in addition to making it easier for cars to enter and exit."
Francis Muñoz also noted that the City Council had worked on most of the park-and-ride parking lots throughout the city before Easter, "especially to eliminate the potholes and cavities that some had and that made it difficult for vehicles to pass." The park-and-ride parking lot on Avenida Beniardá has not been worked on "because we are awaiting the awarding of the improvements to be undertaken there," he concluded.
