Benidorm grows as a Tourist Destination of Quality by incorporating nine more companies

SICTED has already 50 companies in the city distinguished by their commitment to quality in service

Aquasports Benidorm, Benidorm Cooking Experience, Benidorm Marine, Hotel Agua Azul, Hotel Alameda, Hotel Bilbaíno, La Brasería-Grupo Aurrera, La Taperia- Grupo Aurrera and Sawasdeeka Thai Massage are the companies that the Board of Quality has approved to raise as new Distinctions For its Commitment to Tourism Quality. The distinctive "Commitment to Tourism Quality" is the support that accredits compliance with the requirements established in the methodology and recognizes the effort and commitment to quality and continuous improvement, while distinguishing the company from the competition.

The meeting of the Quality Bureau that gives these awards has also served to evaluate the 9 companies in cycle 2 by following up on their records and confirming the renewal of the 14 companies in cycle 3 and 18 in cycle 4 which can be consulted at www.calidadendestino.es.

The Board of Quality has been formed by Antonio Pérez, as Chairman of the Board, Jose Luis Wagner, Head of Area of ​​Knowledge and Tourist Intelligence of the Valencian Tourism Agency, Juan Delgado for the Federation of Campings of the Valencian Community, Leire Bilbao By the Foundation Visit Benidorm, Juanjo Camarasa representing AICO, Mayte García by HOSBEC, Paola Orozco and Virgina Puchades by the Department of Tourism of the City of Benidorm.

During the meeting the Valencian Tourism Agency has delivered a promotional video in order to put in value the effort of the companies, and inform the end users about the instinctive.

The department of Tourism of Benidorm City Hall joined the SICTED project in mid-2013, by the framework agreement signed between Benidorm Tourism Foundation and the Ministry of Tourism in quality. This national project has been very well received in Benidorm, allowing the public and private sectors to work together to strengthen the positioning of the city as a quality tourist destination.

Among the benefits obtained by companies are the improvement of internal management and staff qualification through the 4-cycle training plan consisting of 19 modules and the challenge of participating in the largest tourism quality project developed in Spain with Another 213 destinations totaling 5441 distinguished companies.

The Integral System of Tourist Quality in Destination

The SICTED is a system for improving the quality of tourist destinations promoted by the Spanish Tourism Institute (Turespaña) and the Spanish Federation of Municipalities and Provinces (FEMP), which works with tourist companies / services of up to 32 different offices, with the ultimate goal of improving the experience and satisfaction of the tourist.
