The program offers a minimum of 56 students, although with lower ratios per group to adapt to the Health instructions.
Benidorm desarrollará a partir de julio una nueva edición del Programa de Apoyo Educativo de Verano (PAEV)
The Department of Education will start in July the Summer Educational Support Program (PAEV) "to help primary school students who need a school reinforcement to start the next year in better conditions, especially after the development of the last quarter without face-to-face classes ”. The councillor of the area, Maite Moreno, explained that "finally, and following the new guidelines of the health authorities, the City Council is going to carry out this municipal program, which in this edition will present some operational changes compared to previous years to adjust to the new reality generated by Covid-19 ”.
Thus, the Department we are adapting the program to the 'Health protocol for the development of free time and educational leisure activities aimed at children and young people in the municipalities of the Valencian Community, which, among other things, reduces the number of students per group, which will be fixed from 8 to 10 depending on the course, to guarantee safety distances ”.
In the absence of determining the exact start date of the program, the councilor explained that "we are going to offer a minimum of 56 places, although we are studying organizational formulas that allow us to expand the number of students."
The program will be held at CEIP Ausiàs March and "two shifts and schedules will be established, so that three courses will attend the PAEV from 09.00 to 11.00 and the remaining three from 11.30 to 13.30". In those two hours of class per day, the students of each course will reinforce curricular subjects –such as Mathematics, Spanish, Valencian and English-, and will work study techniques, attention games and verbal and mathematical reasoning.
As in previous editions, it will be the educational centers themselves that propose the students that need reinforcement and the City Council will incorporate the schoolchildren into the program.
