Benidorm delivers the prizes of the XIII Christmas Cards School Contest to Infant and Primary students

Benidorm City Council yesterday delivered the prizes of the XIII Christmas cards School Contest, organized by the Department of Education and Culture and in which the Infant and Primary students from practically all the educational centers of Benidorm participate. The mayor, Toni Pérez, and the councilors for Education and Culture, Maite Moreno and Jaime Jesús Pérez, were in charge of delivering the awards in a ceremony held in the Assembly Hall of the City Council, which was attended by members of the municipal Corporation, relatives of the students and representatives of educational centers.

The aim of the contest is to promote values ​​such as coexistence, participation and artistic creation and expression among schoolchildren in the city. The mayor recalled that as in previous years "the Municipal Corporation will use the finalist postcards to congratulate Christmas", thus giving "dissemination to the work, the educational center, the contest itself" and "our smallest local artists."

After thanking "the work" done by the participants in the Contest "in class and at home", Toni Pérez wished students, teaching teams and families a "very good end of the term" and that they enjoy the upcoming Christmas holidays with "responsibility "So that" we will soon regain normalcy. "

Awarded for cycles

As in previous editions, the contest has been developed in different categories depending on the age of the students.
In the Early Childhood Education category, the first prize went to Shuquin Chen Tocornal from CEIP Miguel Hernández; the second, for Claudia López Marín, from CEIP Els Tolls; and the third, for Adam Ezzamani León, from CEIP Serra Gelada. In addition, the girl Mia Plaza Lambert, from CEIP El Murtal, has received a second prize in this category.

In the 1st and 2nd year of Primary, the first prize went to the postcard made by David Benítez Salazar, from the Nuestra Señora de los Dolores concerted school; while the second prize went to Andrea Lloret Martínez, from CEIP La Cala; and the third, for Guillermo Modrego Lorente, from the Lope de Vega International School. In this category there have been three second prize for Cris Navarro Casillas, from CEIP La Cala; Juan Barahona Escudero, from Vasco Núñez de Balboa; and Mireia Medina Rebelles, from the CEIP Bautista Lledó.

Among the 3rd and 4th grade primary school students, the winning postcard was that of Martín Fernández Cuadrado, from the Lope de Vega International School. The second prize went to Claudia Mayor Martín, from CEIP Ausiàs March; and for Nerea García-Valenciano Bravo, the third. In addition, three second prizes have been awarded to Maram Fátima Senoussaoui Senoussaoui, from CEIP Gabriel Miró; Raquel Castro Llorca, from CEIP Aitana; and Ona Gavilán Manclus, by Leonor Canalejas.

Finally, in the category of 5th and 6th of Primary Education, the first prize has been received by Nicolás Labrador Personat, from CEIP La Cala; the second, Héctor Galavi Giner, from Nuestra Señora de los Dolores catholic school; and the third, Julia Requena Cinos, also from Nuestra Señora de los Dolores.
