Benidorm commemorates one more year the International Book Day with the reading of Don Quixote

23 April 2021
Benidorm commemora un any més el Dia Internacional del Llibre amb la lectura del Quixot...

Benidorm has celebrated once again  the International Book Day with the uninterrupted public reading of Don Quixote, an event that, due to the current health situation, has been held virtually through a videoconference platform and social networks by the City Council.

Members of the municipal corporation that have been initiated by the mayor, Toni Pérez, the Councilor for Historical Heritage, Ana Pellicer, have participated in the reading, and councilors, municipal workers and literature-loving neighbors have continued.

For two hours, on Internet, the adventures of the ingenious gentleman Don Quixote de la Mancha and his faithful squire, Sancho, have come back to life in Benidorm, with the spirit set on the speedy overcoming of the pandemic and on the return to its traditional setting, the Hort de Colón.
