Historical Heritage
The Department's task has three aspects. On the one hand, the study and conservation of our entire archaeological past; secondly, having all the artistic and historical heritage of the city catalogued, as well as carrying out an active maintenance and restoration policy and, finally, the management of the three museums of the city (Boca del Calvari, l'Hort de Colon and the Maritime Cultural Center) and through them, expose all the elements that allow the recovery, consolidation and dissemination of the history of Benidorm in all its extremes and facets, from individualized exhibitions, photographic exhibitions, oral testimonies...
Vision
The Department of Historical Heritage must be the reference for the history of Benidorm, both from its archaeological, artistic, heritage or museum facet, being the reference points so that all citizens of Benidorm or tourists can understand and comprehend the historical past of the city.
Values
The Department of Historical Heritage has the responsibility of conserving, disseminating and providing accessibility to all archaeological, artistic, architectural and heritage that has historical value so that through its management and development it can be contemplated by the citizens of Benidorm and the tourists to understand and understand the past of the city and that in this way, it can be a meeting point so that schoolchildren can learn about their history, for the population that, although not born in Benidorm, is living in the town, can integrate better. in its traditions and customs, so that the elderly can remember the history of their town and so that tourists understand the reality of Benidorm and that it was not born from the General Urban Planning Plan of 1956, but rather has a long and fruitful history.
