Withdrawal proposal to regulate free parking for residents and the use of personal mobility vehicles such as scooters and electric chairs

The plenary session of Benidorm unanimously has approved the creation of a special commission of investigation on the file of the Bus Station. The motion presented by the Municipal Socialist Group, Ciudadanos, Liberales and Compromis -Los Verdes, has also been approved by the Popular Municipal Group and Ciudadanos por Benidorm. Prior to this vote, the four opposition groups have voted against three amendments tabled by the spokespersons of the Municipal Group of the Popular Party, José Ramón González de Zárate and Lourdes Caselles, so that in addition to that commission, two more will be created in order to investigate the dossiers of the opinómetros and friends in high places, both also immersed in a judicial process.

The first of the amendments rejected by the opposition, proposed the constitution "within a period of 10 days since the adoption of this agreement, a Special Commission on the file of the bus station, in accordance with the rules of operation and constitution provided in the ROF and in the ROM, in ordinary informative commissions or special for this only subject ". The second amendment that was rejected was an addition and proposed "to constitute within a period of 10 days since the adoption of this agreement, a Special Commission on the case file" Opinómetros ", in accordance with the rules of operation and constitution provided in the ROF and in the ROM, in ordinary informative commissions or special for this only subject ".

The other amendment of addition, rejected also, proposed the creation of "a Special Commission on the case" connections "according to the rules of operation and constitution provided in the ROF and in the ROM, in ordinary informative commissions or special for this one only subject " The Popular Municipal Group, Ciudadanos por Benidorm and the non- affiliated councilor voted (11 votes) in favor of these amendments; The Municipal Socialist Group, Ciudadanos, Liberales and Compromís-Los Verdes (12votes) voted against the creation of such research commissions. The non-afiliated councilor and a councillor of Ciudadanos justified his absence in the extraordinary session.

The second item on the agenda referred to a proposal by the Councilor for Mobility, Traffic and Transport, for the initial approval of modification of Mobility Ordinance Number 1. The point was withdrawn at the request of the four opposition groups (13 votes). They voted against withdrawing the proposal from the Popular Group and Citizens for Benidorm (10 votes).

This was the fifth time that it was submitted to the consideration of the plenary session with the mandatory technical reports and raised four points: 1) creation and regulation of free parking for residents in the so-called "green areas" and the regulation of loading and unloading in blue zone ; 2) provision that said modifications will occur when agreed by the competent municipal body, in this case the plenary session; 3) regulation of personal mobility vehicles, popularly known as scooters or electric chairs, in compliance with a motion approved in an earlier plenary session and proposed by Ciudadanos group and 4) adaptation to the regulations established by the Traffic Department regarding the vials reserved for the bicycle.
