Within the events scheduled for the European Mobility Week, the XXV Anniversary of the Children's Traffic Park of Benidorm has been celebrated this morning, with a simple reminder to those who began their journey and the discovery of a commemorative tile of the event.

Its first director, José Solbes, excited, recalled the creation process and the level reached “thanks to the work of the Local Police”.

Anniversary commemorative plaques were awarded, in tribute “to the commitment to the Park, Mobility and Education and Road Safety, to the Councilor for Traffic in 1994, Francisco Savall Román, to the project architect, Juan Jesús Pérez Zaragoza, to the chief of the Local Police, Juan Fuertes Apastegui, the first director, José Solbes, members of Lions Club, the current monitors of the Local Police Corps -Antonio Cano, who soon will be retired, and Maribel Mozo-, the Mobility Councilor and to the mayor, who immediately discovered the commemorative plaque on the façade in front of the Traffic Park Children's Workshops.

Pérez recalled the participation of the department of Education in the process and "how much the Children's Traffic Park has contributed to Benidorm." He thanked Lions Club for his initiative and commitment and noted that the PIT “is the friendliest face of the Local Police that teaches and sensitizes the youngest in Road Education, including children with reduced mobility and sensory disability ”, expressing the pride that this implies.

"More than one hundred thousand children, the entire school population of Benidorm in these twenty-five years has visited this park," said Toni Pérez, who thanked, finally, the commitment of all and the involvement of the Local Police.

Two agents are permanently in this park, reinforcing the number of agents before special events of Education and Road Safety. The Children's Traffic Park of Benidorm develops its work from Infant to 4th year of Compulsory Secondary Education.
