Benidorm expone su modelo de Zona de Bajas Emisiones en unas jornadas nacionales sobre movilidad urbana

Benidorm City Council has presented its Low Emission Zone (ZBE) model at a national conference on sustainable urban mobility held in Zaragoza on February 22 and 23, attended by the councillor for the area, Francis Muñoz. Specifically, Benidorm participated on Friday in a work session on 'Management of Low Emission Zones', in which the municipal engineer Manuel Climent shared the city's experience, focusing on the dashboard system, technology, cameras and sensors.

The councillor of Mobility has highlighted "the participation in this forum in which the main Spanish cities such as Madrid, Barcelona, Seville, San Sebastián and Valencia have met and in which Benidorm, like them, has been able to present its ZBE model and how it will be managed technologically.”

Muñoz stressed that "this forum has served to confirm, once again, that Benidorm is a national benchmark in sustainable mobility thanks to the work carried out in the last decade", and added that "its ZBE is the latest example of that successful strategy focused on achieving a friendlier, more comfortable, safer and more environmentally friendly city.”

"In fact," he continued, "Benidorm was talked about in four of the seven work sessions that took place during the two days of the meeting in Zaragoza, which gives a good example of the positioning of our city in terms of sustainable mobility." What's more, there was also a notable mention and reference to Benidorm in the opening presentation of the conference, which was given by the General Director of Transport of the Generalitat Valenciana, Manuel Ríos.
