Next Sunday, August 28, a new edition will be held, the 20th, of the Benidorm L'Illa-Port famous swim crossing, which is organized annually by the City Council's Department of Sports, in collaboration with those of Citizenship Security, Mobility and Beaches and the Yacht Club.

In this edition, the race recovers its traditional route. It will start again from l'Illa so that the participants will have to swim the distance that separates the islet from the Mal Pas beach, about two nautical miles that are equivalent to 3, 6 kilometres.

The start will start at 8.15 from the island and the swimmers must complete the race in a maximum time of two hours.

Registration opened last Monday, August 1, and will remain open on the website www.chiplevante.com until the 320 places planned for this edition are filled.

There will be eleven categories with their respective prizes for the top three finishers: Absolute, Senior A (between 18 and 29 years old), Senior B (between 30 and 39 years old), Veterans A (between 40 and 44 years old), Veterans B (between 45 and 49 years old), Veterans C (between 50 and 54 years old), Veterans D (between 55 and 59 years old), from 60 years old, category of people with functional diversity, local swimmers and club with the largest number of participants.

The collection of numbers must be done on the same day of departure between 7:00 and 7:30 at the Yacht Club. It will also be compulsory for all swimmers to use the location buoy during the test.
